Emporia Schools
Breakfast and lunch will be served from May 29 to Aug. 3 at Riverside, Timmerman, Walnut, Lowther North, Emporia Middle School and Emporia High School. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. at the middle and high schools, and at 8:30 at the other four sites. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at all sites.
The meals are free to all children 18 years old and younger. Parents may eat with their children for a minimal charge. All meals must be eaten at the school site. Adult meal prices are $1.50 for breakfast and $3 for lunch.

Tuesday: cereal.
Wednesday: muffin.
Thursday: clod hoppers.
Friday: pancake on a stick.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk.
LUNCH
Monday: Memorial Day, no meals served .
Tuesday: hot dog on a bun, seasoned fries, broccoli florets, mandarin oranges.
Wednesday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, melon wedge, graham cookie.
Thursday: burrito, nacho chips, tossed salad, strawberries.
Friday: chicken patty on a bun, tater tots, baby carrots, pineapple.
Lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
Monday: Memorial Day, no meals served .
Tuesday: chicken and noodles, winter-blend vegetables, biscuit, pudding.
Wednesday: barbecue pork, bun, potato salad, brussel sprouts, cherry crisp.
Thursday: ham and beans, pickled beets, strawberries, cornbread, cheesecake.
Friday: June menu not available.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
Monday: Memorial Day, no meals served .
Tuesday: honey-glazed pork chop, parslied potatoes, peas, bread, mandarin oranges.
Wednesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, cucumber-tomato salad, bread, plums.
Thursday: cook’s choice.
