Emporia school board
A resolution to levy tax for the adult basic education program will be considered Wednesday at the Emporia Board of Education meeting. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Mary Herbert Learning Center, 1700 West Seventh Ave.
The board also will take action on bids for asbestos removal at William Allen White Elementary School.
Changes have been proposed for the Emporia Middle School and Emporia High School student handbooks for the 2007-08 school year, and a contract for Head Start will be presented for approval.
An executive session is scheduled to discuss contract negotiations.
Items on the consent agenda include the 2008 food service program agreement; staff appointments, resignations and retirements; summer school staff; summer band and orchestra programs; and sales of surplus property at auction.
