Rodeo Days
Burlingame will hold Burlingame Rodeo Days on May 19, beginning with a breakfast feed from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge. A taco-baked potato feed will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with other foods available during the day. Events include an antiques appraisal, art and quilt shows, lawn tractor pull and car show, bike rodeo, pedal pull and games for the children. A Longhorn and Lariats parade will be held at 2 p.m. and the rodeo will be at 8 p.m. There also will be cow bingo, pie-eating contest and karaoke contest.
Goldsmith birthday
Margaret Goldsmith will celebrate her 86th birthday on May 19. Her friends and family request a card shower for her, with cards to be sent to 526 S. Congress St., Lot 45, Emporia, KS 66801.
