Alumni banquet
Reservations are being taken for the Americus High School Alumni Banquet, which is scheduled for May 26 in the Americus Grade School gymnasium.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium entryway, with dinner served by the United Methodist Church at 6:30.
Tickets are $9 for graduates and guests. Reservations must be turned in by May 24 to KansasLand Bank or to Betty Brown, secretary. Dues are $5 for graduates. In conjunction with the reunion, the Americus Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a hospitality room from 1 to 6 p.m. in the Presbyterian Annex. Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity for people attending to tell or write memories of Americus for a sesquicentennial notebook.
Committee meeting
The Americus Days Committee will meet at 6:0 p.m. Tuesday in the Presbyterian Annex. For information call (620) 443-5050.
The officers for the alumni association are: president, Don Edmiston; secretary, Betty Brown; treasurers, Vicki Lieberum and Judy Humbarger.
