WE NEVER cease to be awed by the generosity of the Emporia Community! In fact, this year we came up with a list of “The Top Ways We Witnessed Emporians Being Generous at Sacred Heart’s 5th Annual Bid and Bite Auction.”
Emporians are generous with their:
Laughter — With all that happens in the world, it is important that we gather to make happy noise ! The parish hall was overflowing with the sound of a good time.
Time — The turnout to the auction was great! Time was also generously given by the parents, staff and faculty of Sacred Heart in preparation for this impressive event.
Talent — Many donated from their areas of expertise; these donations are what make an auction possible.
Treasure — People, who have never been to our school before, gave and then gave again.
Friendliness — It was an impressive sight to see so many people welcomed into our parish hall, sit with people they had never before met and enjoy each other’s company.
Food — Emporia is full of good eating and there was no place better than our parish hall with freshly-prepared Bruff’s steak dinners!
Community Support — From those who gave to those who attended, time and time again we were blessed with the opportunity to witness Emporians helping Emporians.
