Biscuits and gravy
Members of the Americus Masonic Lodge 109, 551 Broadway St., will sponsor a biscuits and gravy breakfast Saturday morning at the lodge. This is a monthly breakfast and the money raised will be used to fund various club projects. For information call (620) 443-5570.
Americus Days
Saturday evening entertainment will be on the agenda for the Americus Days planning meeting which will be at 6:30 p.m. May 15 at the Presbyterian Church Annex, 561 Broadway St.. For information call Linda Houston, chairman, (620) 443-5050.
Antique power
The Flint Hills Antique Power Association met May 6. Roy Gatewood described his experiences growing up on a farm north of Emporia in the Bethel Community neighborhood and working with implements which required the use of a belt pulley to operate.
