Water repairs in Olpe

The water system repairs scheduled for Tuesday in Olpe have been postponed.

Olpe City Clerk Joyce Wilson said the repairs would now be done on May 24. The water will be shut off from 1 to 3 p.m..

Birthday reception

Ruby Chaffain Patchett will be the guest of honor at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. May 19 at the Presbyterian Manor, 2300 Industrial Road, to celebrate her 90th birthday. Cards, with memories, may be sent to Ruby Patchett in care of P.O. Box 102, Americus, KS 66835. She requests no gifts.
