Waverly
The Wavery city clerk has resigned.
The Coffey County Republican reported in a letter to the Waverly City Council, City Clerk Donna Williams submitted her resignation at the April 17 meeting.
Williams stated that she is anxious to move on to new experiences and would not place the needs of the city in jeopardy.
Burlington
The location for the Relay for Life in Burlington has changed.
The Coffey County Republican reported that this year’s location for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life to be on June 2 has changed to the Burlington High School track. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the event will end at 7 a.m. June 3.
