Police release more details in suspected kidnapping

The Emporia Police Department has released more details regarding an incident that occurred on Tuesday which led to the arrest of Marvin Matt, on a suspicion of kidnapping.
Michael Williams, deputy police chief of the Emporia Police Department, said the department is asking for public assistance in determining the owners of several items that were recovered during the investigation. The items are believed to be stolen from residential or auto burglaries. The items include three cellular phones; a scanner; light green ladies’ coat; black bag containing numerous cosmetic items.
