Emporia Schools

BREAKFAST

Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTart.

Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.

Wednesday: breakfast burrito or cereal and muffin.

Thursday: breakfast pizza or cereal and biscuit.

Friday: frosted long john or cereal and biscuit.

LUNCH

Monday: turkey fritter with roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, fresh pear.

Tuesday: soft taco, tossed salad, fresh fruit choice, cinnamon roll.

Wednesday: hot dog on a bun, seasoned fries, strawberry-banana cup.

Thursday: chicken nuggets with roll, macaroni and cheese, broccoli, fruit juice bar.

Friday: No lunch at high school or middle school. Sloppy joe, tater tots, peaches, cookies.

Friendship Meals

EMPORIA

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.

Monday: chicken parmesan, scalloped potatoes, normandy blend vegetables, wheat roll, strawberries.

Tuesday: polish sausage, cabbage, stewed tomatoes, bun, pears.

Wednesday: barbecue pork, bun, potato salad, brussel sprouts, apple-cranberry crisp.

Thursday: tuna casserole, zucchini and tomatoes, rye bread, gelatin with fruit.

Friday: chicken casserole, carrots, tossed salad, wheat bread, banana.

NORTH LYON COUNTY

Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Monday: spaghetti with meat sauce, italian-blend vegetables, garlic bread, fresh fruit, cookie.

Tuesday: turkey ala king, california-blend vegetables, biscuits, cherry crisp.

Wednesday: chicken-fried steak, oven-browned potatoes, green beans, bread, creamy orange salad.

Thursday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and pearl onions, hot roll, fruited cheesecake.

Friday: fish or ham loaf, baked potatoes, carrots, bread, cinnamon apples.
