Discussion of a proposed golf course near Olpe Lake will move to a new arena Thursday morning.
Olpe Mayor Jerry Templemeyer will meet with Lyon County Commissioners at 11 a.m. to talk about anticipating problems and needs that may result from proposed development near the lake and needs for Road K-7.
Commissioner, counselor, controller and clerk reports will begin at 8:15 a.m.
Mark McKenna and Chris Wilkinson will present facilities management information at 8:30 a.m. about replacing an ice machine in the jail kitchen, replacing carpet in the county attorney’s office, and repairing oil leaks on chillers at the Flint Hills Community Health Center.
At 9 a.m., County Engineer Chip Woods will present information about rip-rap and the detention pond spillway at the landfill. They also will discuss reports from road and sign supervisors and a report about crushed rock distribution.
An executive session will follow the report to discuss a legal contract with the commission’s attorney, Mike Halloran. The commission has a second executive session with legal counsel schedule at 11:30 a.m.
Undersheriff Richard Old will ask the commission to consider appropriating up to $550 from a drug forfeiture fund to purchase hats and shirts for Senior Patrol volunteers. Old is scheduled at 10:30 a.m.
A public comment session will be held at 9:45 a.m.
