BREAKFAST

Monday: Cereal and muffin or PopTart.

Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.

Wednesday: cinnamon bun stick or cereal and muffin.

Thursday: breakfast pizza or cereal and biscuit.

Friday: frosted long john or cereal and muffin.

LUNCH

Monday: ham and cheese melt on a bun, tater tots, pineapple tidbits, yogurt.

Tuesday: country-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, hot roll, broccoli, apple wedges.

Wednesday: grilled chicken on a bun, cheesy potatoes, vegetable bites with dip, tropical fruit.

Thursday: crispito, cheese sauce, nacho chips, tossed salad, oranges.

Friday: fish sandwich on a bun, seasoned fried, corn, strawberries and shortcake.

Friendship Meals

EMPORIA

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.

Monday: salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, ranch vegetables, wheat bread, applesauce.

Tuesday: beef stew, cottage cheese with peaches, crackers, cookie.

Wednesday: turkey tetrazini, spinach salad, roll, brownie, melon balls and peaches.

Thursday: goulash, succotash, texas toast. gelatin salad.

Friday: tuna salad, broccoli-cheese soup, bun, pineapple-mango paradise.

NORTH LYON COUNTY

Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Monday: chicken and noodles, stewed tomatoes, biscuits, cranberry sauce, butterscotch squares.

Tuesday: meatballs with gravy over noodles, carrots, bread, fruit salad.

Wednesday: baked pork chop, oven-browned potatoes, peas, bread, pineapple tidbits.

Thursday: soup, meat sandwich, carrot-raisin salad, crackers, hot spiced peaches.

Friday: cook’s choice.
