Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: chicken patty, rice pilaf, autumn-blend vegetables, wheat bread, fruit cup.
Tuesday: sloppy joe, bun, potato salad, baked beans, strawberries and bananas.
Wednesday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake and ice cream.
Thursday: chili, coleslaw, plums, crackers, cinnamon roll.
Friday: fish or pork roast, sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, roll, spiced apples.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: goulash, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, sherbet.
Tuesday: glazed ham, baked potatoes, peas and carrots, hot rolls, pineapple ambrosia.
Wednesday: chicken fajitas, flour taco shells, lettuce, tomato, under the sea salad.
Thursday: hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, hot apples and cranberries.
Friday: meatloaf, broccoli-rice au gratin, wheat bread, mixed fruit.
