‘Big Bang’

The newest ESU art exhibition, “Big Bang,” will run through April 2 at the Eppink Gallery on the Emporia State University campus. The display is a collaborative installation built by visiting artist Jill Reynolds and several ESU art students, transforming the gallery itself into a diorama.

Reynolds lives in Beacon, N.Y. The exhibit resembles an outer space landscape but one with everyday objects hanging in mid-air, from compact discs to elephants. The exhibit took about a week to build.

For more information, call 341-5246 or visit the department’s Web site at www.emporia.edu/art. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
