Eggs and Issues
The Emporia Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau will be host for an Eggs and Issues Forum at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Flint Hills Technical College, 3301 W. 18th Ave. These political forums usually end about 9:30 a.m.
Coffee and rolls will be served from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
The forums are organized each year by the Chamber’s Legislative Committee and the League of Women Voters to give area legislators and their constituents opportunities to discuss current events and issues.
Other forums will be held April 14 at the Lyon County Courthouse, 430 Commercial St., and May 5 at Mary Herbert Learning Center, 1700 W. Seventh Ave.
The Secret Bunny
The Neosho Rapids Lions Club is sponsoring a Secret Easter Bunny contest. To enter, ask anyone in the Neosho Rapids area, “Are you the Neosho Rapids Secret Easter Bunny?”
The first person to identify the bunny will win $25 and a basket of goodies. The winner will be announced at the Neosho Rapids Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. April 7, on the east side of the Neosho Rapids Community Building.
