Olpe seniors Kayle Krueger and Seth Pargman and Madison senior Jordan Stout were unanimous first-team choices for the All-Lyon County League basketball teams, which were announced Friday.
Krueger was the leader all season long for the Lady Eagles, who suffered their first loss of the season in Friday night’s semifinal game to Centralia in the Class 1A State Tournament.
Krueger was joined on the girls first team by Flinthills’ senior duo of Lacey Breech and Caley Onek, Lebo senior Nickole Presley and Waverly senior Whitney Good, while Madison’s Shelby Buster earned first-team honors as a freshman.
Earning second-team honors were Flinthills’ Erin Dragoo, Lyndon’s Krista Banzhaf and Stephanie Goetz, Olpe’s Brittany Meza and Megan Woods and Waverly’s Megan Steward.
Pargman and Stout were just two parts of the all-senior first team on the boys side, as they were joined by Zach Dodson of Burlingame, Taylor Barker of Lebo and Dentin Chapman of Waverly.
Second-team honors on the boys side went to Burlingame’s Chris Patterson, Flinthills’ Kiel Riemann, Hartford’s Blake Edwards, Lebo’s Aaron Gillespie and Olpe’s Colton Stueve.
Honorable-mention honors on the girls side went to Marie Hunt of Chase County, Chelsea Schmitz of Lyndon and Megan Cole and Sammy Maley of Olpe.
Earning honorable mention on the boys side were Brian Palermo of Chase County, Jeremy Jackson of Flinthills, Kaleb Schankie of Madison, Chisom Spencer of Marais des Cygnes Valley, Cole Krueger of Olpe and Heath Redding of Waverly.
