Energy Program workshop in Emporia
The USDA Rural Development announced that the agency will be presenting a series of regional workshops covering USDA’s energy programs in March and April.
The workshops are being held to inform agricultural producers, business owners, public bodies, lenders and individuals of the funding opportunities for energy projects eligible under USDA’s “Renewable Energy Systems & Energy Improvement Program,” the “Community Facility Program” and the “Value-Added Producer Grant Program.”
The workshop in Emporia will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Flint Hills Girl Scout Council, 1200 Burlingame Road. For more information call the Iola USDA Rural Development Area Office at (620) 365-2901. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Flint Hills tourism workshop offered
The Center for Business and Economic Development (CBED) of the Emporia State University School of Business will hold its second 2007 workshop from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Roe Conference Room of Cremer Hall on the ESU campus. The workshop is entitled “Creating and Developing Authentic Flint Hills Products and Services.”
