Lyon County commissioners voted to change the language in two Lyon County zoning regulations during Wednesday’s combined study-action session.
Commissioners voted 3-0 to change the sign regulations to allow a larger sign the size of plywood near the end of a driveway on county-managed roads. Property owners who own land next to state-controlled highways will have to go through the state before putting up a sign, said Steve Samuelson, Lyon County zoning and flood plain administrator..
Commissioners also voted to change the definition of salvage yards within the county’s zoning regulations to include all yards, not just auto salvage.
