Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in Emporia’s public schools:
BREAKFAST
Monday: cereal and muffin or Pop Tart.
Tuesday: sausage and biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.
Wednesday: breakfast waffle sticks or Pop Tarts.
Thursday: frosted long john or cereal and biscuit.
Friday: No school.
LUNCH
Monday: taco zoom with salsa, mexican rice, tossed salad, pears, yogurt.
Tuesday: chicken strips, hot roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, normandy vegetables, pumpkin bar.
Wednesday: burrito with cheese sauce, corn, tossed salad, mandarin oranges.
Thursday: chicken nuggets, hot roll, tater tots, green beans, tropical fruit .
Friday: No school.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk. Lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: chicken and noodles, winter blend vegetables, biscuit, pudding.
Tuesday: meatballs, fettucini alfredo, peas and carrots, wheat bread, melon balls and peaches.
Wednesday: turkey roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mediterranian vegetables, roll, pineapple chunks.
Thursday: ham and beans, pickled beets, strawberries, cornbread, cheesecake.
Friday: hamburger or fish, sliced tomato, bean salad, bun, scalloped apples.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Wednesday: roast pork, sweet potato casserole, green beans, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.
Thursday: salmon loaf. duchess potatoes, hot spiced beets, wheat bread, cranberry-apple salad.
Friday: lasagna, italian-blend vegetables, garlic bread, frozen fruit salad.
