Two eighth-grade boys were taken to Newman Regional Health by ambulance after taking over-the-counter medication at Emporia Middle School Thursday afternoon.
According to Emporia’s siren log, two ambulances were called to Emporia Middle School at 12:28 p.m. Thursday. Nancy Horst, spokesperson for Emporia public schools, said this morning that the two boys had taken the medication and had a bad reaction to it.
“Both were treated and are fine,” Horst said.
