I don't know if anyone looks at these posts here, but I am looking for a church in the surrounding Emporia area for my family. We are pretty free spirited as far not really looking for a strict bible lecture that dictates rather than inspires. What we seek is along the lines of a small community church that relates real life issues to spirituality and having a relationship with God. More emphasis on how to love and respect each other and live a good peaceful life. I appreciate your help in advance.

I'm sure there are numerous great churches here in town. Some that I have visited and would suggest are 12th Avenue Baptist, Flint Hills Christian, Grace United Methodist or Messiah Luthern. I know that some have an early traditional service and a later contemporary. Good Luck in finding the one that fits you.
