Chruches plan vacation bible school programs

First United Methodist

The First United Methodist Church all family Vacation Bible School, “Christians Under Construction,” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 8-11. On July 8, meet at the Jones Aquatic Center (admission, $1); July 9, meet at Peter Pan Park for fishing; July 10, Peter Pan Park for Animal Adventures; and July 11, Peter Pan Park for a cookout and “creative construction.” For more information, call Cindy Kienholz, 342-6186.

Lebo Baptist Church

The Lebo Baptist Church Vacation Bible School for the entire family, a waterpark adventure, “Take and the Plunge and Make a Splash with Jesus!” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 8 through July 12. Participants will take the Plunge at Raise the Reef Praises, the Snack Shack, Craft-Away Cove, Oceans of Motion and Bibleland Bay. Vacation Bible School will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 8 and continue through July 13.

Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church —

Centro Cristiano

Bilingual Vacation Bible School is being offered for all children, especially those 5-12, and families from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. July 9-12 at Las Casitas Park. There will be fun games, crafts, music, snacks and Bible stories. On July 12, there will be an event for the whole family to attend. In case of rain, the VBS will be moved to the church. Faith Lutheran

Faith Lutheran Church Vacation Bible School for children from the age of 3 through 6th grade, “Quest for Truth — Jesus, The Way, The Truth, The Life,” will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 9-13. They will explore Bible stories, “uncover new evidence,” do fun activities, sing songs, make crafts, play energetic games, eat creative snacks and more! Methodist

Grace United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 9-13. The children will experience the ways Bible people lived in Bethlehem.

First Church of the Nazarene

The First Church of the Nazarene Vacation Bible School, “Tumbleweed Gulch — Where God’s Love Changes Everything,” will be held from July 9-13.

Madison First Christian, Presbyterian

and United Methodist

Madison churches will have Vacation Bible School, “Great Bible Reef,” for those preschool age through those just completing sixth grade beginning at 6:30 p.m. July 13 at the First Christian Church until 8 a.m. July 14. Younger children will be dismissed at 9 p.m. July 13. There will be stories about Jesus, crafts, reef tunes and games. First Christian

“Quest for Truth — Jesus: The Way, the Truth, the Life” is the theme for VBS at First Christian Church. VBS will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 15 through 19 and will feature supper, Bible stories, crafts, games, songs and treats for children from age 3 through adults. Lebo United Methodist

Lebo United Methodist Church Vacation Bible School, “Lift Off! Soaring New Heights with God,” will from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-20. The children, “Sky Scouts,” will have a different “flight plan” each day. To register or for more information, call (620) 256-6485. First Baptist

First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, “Adventure of the Treasure Seekers: Exploring God’s Promises,” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 16-20 at HIS Place, 801 Constitution St. There will be daily “Discovery Digs” for children to explore the Scriptures and “find God’s promises.” This program offers fun, interactive activities that combine the world of archaeology with the discovery of treasure in the Bible. Children will take part in an actual dig and find treasures that remind them of the Bible story and God’s promise for that day. Children also will be involved in local mission projects, sing Treasure Seekers tunes, create some memorable crafts and make new friends. For more information, call 343-3112.

Hartford Christian Church Vacation Bible School, “Avalanche Ranch,” will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 through July 27, with a closing program at 6 p.m. July 29. All children, pre-school through junior high school, are welcome to attend.

The First Church of God

The First Church of God, 133 N.W. Mayes, in Melvern will have Vacation Bible School for children from 5 to 12 years from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 to July 27.
