North Lyon special meeting
The North Lyon County school board will have a special meeting at 8 p.m. Monday in the board office at Americus.
The agenda includes a welcome for new board members and a number of housekeeping chores for the new fiscal year. Those chores include setting a meeting schedule, appointing board officers and rescinding previous policies that will be supplanted by current written polices.
Also on the agenda:
• A vote on a resolution to establish Home Rule.
• Approval of the school lunch program for 2007-08.
• Approval of a district wellness policy.
• A review of preliminary budgets for 2007-08.
Madison-Virgil board
The Madison-Virgil Board of Education meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the board office in Madison.
The agenda includes a public forum, making board appointments and authorizations, passing resolutions, setting fees, setting ticket prices for the 2007-08 school year, considering a contract cleaning service, discussing a drug testing policy, receiving reports and dealing with personnel matters.
