One man was taken by helicopter to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka late Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident about .2 mile east of Lebo on Interstate Highway 35.
A report from the Kansas Highway Patrol said that a flatbed construction truck was parked in the right lane of the roadway, with an arrow light indicating that other drivers should move left. An International truck pulling a Mark tank trailer apparently continued moving in the right lane and ran into the back of the construction truck.
Francisco Villarreal of Wichita, 46, received serious injuries in the accident.
The driver of the other truck, David B. Bauman, 74, Modesto, Calif., was treated at the scene.
