On Wednesday, Lyon County State Bank will get two chances to show off its newly renovated suburban branch at 12th Avenue and Industrial Road.
The renovation completely changed the appearance of the building, giving it a brick and stone exterior and adding a tall tower on the southwest corner.
A ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and the Convention & Visitors Bureau, will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The event is open to the public.
After the ribbon cutting, the chamber will hold a Business After Hours gathering at the bank branch.
Reservations are required for the after hours, and are available by calling the chamber office at 342-1600 or by visiting the Web site at www.emporiakschamber.org. Go to the Community Calendar and click on the event. Reservations are due by Monday.
There is a charge for the after hours. The cost for chamber members and their guests if $5 a person. The charge for non-members is $8.
