As it was reported earlier this week, several other area rodeo participants competed at the Kansas High School Rodeo Association State championships this past weekend.
August Stueve of Olpe teamed with Jared Schlegel in the team roping competition, where they finished 12th overall in the year-end standings. Jacob Miller and Jessica Miller from Madison also competed together in team roping, where they finished 27th.
Jessica also ended the year at 28th in the breakaway event and 34th in pole bending.
Samantha Wilkerson of Hartford capped her year by finished 28th in the standings in pole bending.
Caesie Reynolds of Emporia placed 36th overall in both barrels and pole bending, and Kellie Farr of Emporia came in 39th in poles.
