Emporia State finished 37th in the final 2006-07 U.S. Sports Academy Director’s Cup Standings, placing in the top 50 nationally for the third consecutive year.
The rankings reflect an all-sports national standing comparing the 281 Division-II schools.
ESU finished with 367.65 points — the second-highest point in school history.
ESU finished fourth out of the MIAA schools in the standings. Central Missouri was sixth in the nation with 628.75 points, followed by Truman (16th, 472.50 points) and Northwest Missouri State (29th, 405 points).
Missouri Southern (340 points) and Washburn (331 points) also placed in the top 50.
ESU was the top-ranked school in Kansas for the second straight year.
Grand Valley State (995.75 points) won its fourth consecutive Directors Cup.
