Three senior Emporia High softball players were honored by the Centennial League for their efforts on the diamond this past season.
Shortstop McKenzie Cinelli, pitcher Tia McAlister and catcher Brendy Muninger each were named honorable-mention selections by the league’s coaches.
Emporia ended its season with a 2-19 record overall.
League powers Washburn Rural and Shawnee Heights landed the most first-team selections. Rural landed four players on the first team, while Shawnee Heights, which placed third at the Class 5A State tournament, saw three of its players earn first-team honors.
Washburn Rural’s Brenda Holaday was named the Centennial League coach of the year.
