WE, the board of directors of the Emporia League of Women Voters, would like to commend you on your recent article covering the Legislature’s override of the Governor’s veto of the concealed carry law. This was a very important bill which will affect Emporia as well as other communities in our state.
We especially appreciate that the Gazette listed how our representatives voted. Keep up this type of reporting!

Would someone post a link to the story mentioned in this letter, or an idea of when it was published?
I've done a few searches, and apparently have not come up with the right combination of keywords.

Dear sciguy,
The story referred to was written by the Associated Press and never loaded on the Web site. It also no longer exists in our text handling system so it can be loaded now.
I recall using the story, I believe on an inside page. It was a simple process to take the AP story, open the second AP story that was nothing but how each representative voted, and add a paragraph to the original story.
When The Gazette cannot travel to the Legislature or other venues, I'm glad we can use other resources to inform our readers. I'm just sorry I don't have the original story for you to read now.
