Two Emporia men have been arrested in a stabbing that hospitalized two other people early this morning.
Jose Antonio Garcia-Velazquez, 22, and his brother Jose Manuel Garcia-Velazquez, 20, were arrested around 4:30 a.m. for aggravated battery. Both were booked into the Lyon County Jail pending formal charges.
One of the victims, Richard Campa, is in stable condition at Newman hospital. The other, Benjamin Gutierrez, was transferred to another hospital.
Police were called to 1201 W. South Ave. at about 1:24 a.m. According to a report by the Emporia Police Department, Gutierrez had been stabbed in the stomach and Campa had stab wounds in his back. The report said the two suspects had left on foot.
After an investigation, police arrested the Garcia-Velazquez brothers at 2070 Cambridge Drive.
