Garage sale
for Greensburg
Merchandise and customers are needed for a “parking lot yard sale” to benefit Greensburg residents. The sale will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 15 and 16 in the parking lot at Price Chopper, 2703 West Highway 50.
Proceeds from the sale will be given to Greensburg residents who cannot rebuild because of insufficient or no insurance, or who do not have funds to relocate to another home.

Slurry seal project
The City of Emporia slurry seal project which began June 1 continues (weather permitting) with work today on Schaeffer Way from Prairie Lane to culdesac, Arrowhead Drive from Flint Road to Maplecrest Drive, Diane and Darlene streets from Hillcrest to Hilllcrest, Thompson St., from 15th Ave., to dead end; Thompson St. from 12th Ave to 15th Ave., Mava and Patrick streets from Luther St. to 15th Ave., Stratford Drive from Sixth St. to Belaire Drive.
Work on Wednesday will be Flint Road from 21st St. to Maplecrest Drive, Luther St. from south of Mava to 15th Ave., Luther St. from concrete to 18th Ave., Rees Road from 18th Ave, to Wheeler St., Graham St. to Sixth Ave. to dead end, 21st Ave. from Graphic Arts to Mount Vernon Terrace, 20th Ave. from Mount Vernon Terrace to Deerbrook.
On Thursday, work will be on Prairie Lane from Prairie St. to culdesac, Sunset Circle from 21st Ave. to culdesac, Meadowlark Lane from Flint Road to 18th Ave., Hillcrest Drive from 18th Ave. to Flint Road, Thompson St. from dead end to 18th Ave and Mount Vernon Terrace from 20th Ave. to Graphic Arts.
On Friday, work will be on 20th Ave. from Mount Vernon Terrace to Graphic Arts and Maplecrest Drive from Flint Road to 21st Ave.
Fair housing workshops
Workshops about fair housing for individuals with disabilities will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Flint Hills Technical College, 3301 W. 18th Ave.

Medicaid information
Kansas Health Solutions will present information from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Mental Health Center, 1001 Lincoln St., to all Medicaid recipients about the changes that will take effect on July 1. All Medicaid recipients and their families who are receiving mental health services are invited to attend this meeting.

Class of ‘47
The Emporia High School class of 1947 is having their 60th class reunion Saturday at the Best Western Hospitality House Motel, 3021 W. Highway 50 and the Regency Gardens restaurant in the motel. Registration is at 9 a.m and a tour of the William Allen White home, “Red Rocks,” is scheduled for the afternoon.
Author Don Coldsmith will speak at the evening banquet. The incorrect site for the reunion was published in the calendar.
Roosevelt reunion
All Roosevelt High School classes 1962 forward will have a reunion this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be an informal gathering at Bruffs Bar and Grill beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday, the group will meet at 5 p.m. at the new Peter Pan Park Arbor Shelter House, with dinner at 7 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a brunch at the Regency Gardens Best Western Hospitality House beginning at 9 a.m.
