Tracing her family

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

MY NAME IS Leanna Carman and I live in Lebo. I am doing family genealogical research and am looking for information about my great-great-grandmother, Charlotte Woehler Reichardt.

She and her husband, August, apparently lived southest of Olpe sometime between 1880 and 1893. They had four children, Henry, Amelis, Albert and August Jr. My great-great-grandmother is buried in the cemetery west of Olpe. The tombstone states that she died on Jan. 17, 1890. She is the only family member who is buried there and we would like to find out if anyone can tell us any more about her or the family.

We would be very appreciative of any information that anyone could provide to us. We recently went to the Greenwood County Courthouse, but found no records on them there. Likewise, at the Emporia Public Library we found nothing. No death notice in the paper or anything.

You can contact me at leannaloveslife@yahoo.com or (620) 256-6067.
