Lyon County commissioners will meet starting at 8 a.m. Thursday for an action session in the Lyon County commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse. Among items on the agenda are:
• 8:15 a.m. — Reports.
• 8:30 a.m. — 2008 budget discussion.
• 9 a.m. — Chip Woods, county engineer, will bring items to the commission including a quote from Broyles Inc. — Humboldt for $11,466.91 to remove and dispose of the 4,000 gallon gasoline tank at the Highway Department and replace it with a 10,000 gallon tank; purchase of a state surplus 1997 IHC with snowplow and spreader box for $10,500.
• 9:45 a.m. — Public comment.
• 10 a.m. — Robert Sullivan, director of Community Corrections, will ask commissioners to consider approving the FY08 Community Corrections grant funds budget; and 2008 budget discussion.
• 10:30 a.m. — Marc Goodman, county attorney, will discuss a donation of $5,000 to Plumb Place; and discuss using up to $300 to purchase equipment for Courthouse Security.
