The Emporia City Commission has set its next public meeting on the budget for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mary Herbert building, 1700 W. Seventh Ave.
Members of the public are invited to share their thoughts on proposed budget expenditures for 2008. The meeting will be in the Fireplace Room. At least one more meeting will be held before the commission votes to approve the budget.

Please, please, I hope as many people as possible will attend. I also hope no one will feel scared to ask questions. With the people who are running things we all need to get involved as much as possible.
