The Emporia U-16 Energy finished with a 2-2 record in the Wellington Summer Sizzler Tournament over the weekend.
Emporia started Saturday with a 4-3 loss to the Medicine Lodge Twisters before responding with a 7-5 victory over Pratt. Cassandra Huth picked up the win in the circle, and Hilary Heinrichs led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate.
The Energy fell, 4-3, to the Twisted Sisters later on Saturday.
Emporia won its only game Sunday, taking a 9-2 victory over the Wichita Shockers. Huth went the distance in the circle, and Hannah Lynch contributed three hits, including a double.
Briana Talkington added a double and single in the win.
The U-16s play a home doubleheader at 6:30 tonight against Neosho Valley.
