It’s hard to top the Fourth of July, but there are still a few things going on this weekend.
- It’s the first Saturday of the month, and that means it’s time for Cruise Night again. Classic car enthusiasts and their rides can gather at Bad Ol’ Bern’s, 20 S. Commercial St. There is no charge. The event is held once a month through September.
- The Flint Hills Flea Market will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Lucky U Antique Mall, 1775 Road 175. For information, call 343-0976. Lucky U is located at Exit 138 off of Interstate Highway 35.
- The Girl Scouts of the Flint Hills are inviting local kindergartners to attend “princess training.” The activity costs $5 and is limited to the first 20 girls to sign up. “Being a Princess” will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Amend Girl Scout Center. - For non-royalty, the Girl Scouts are continuing their “Media Smart Youth” program for girls age 11 to 17. The program starts at 9 a.m. at the Amend Girl Scout Center. For information and to register, call 342-4532.
