Hog roast for family
The first fundraiser for the Davidson Family Project will be a hog roast and ice cream social from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsburg City Park in Williamsburg. The Jayhawkers Booster Club is sponsoring the social. Donations will be accepted.
From 5 to 9 p.m., the country band Shot Full of Holes will play. Raffle tickets, at $1 each or 6 for $5, will be sold for a handmade quilt, child’s handmade picnic table, $100 Weigand’s Car and a Home Connection gift certificate and an electric mini-scooter. People must be present to win.
There also will be a service to celebrate the life of former Emporian Rebekah Davidson and her two-year-old daughter, Nora Davidson, who were killed in a two-vehicle accident on April 28 near Pomona Lake. People are helping to complete the Davidson’s house, along with Rebekah’s husband, David, and their other children.
