at Reading
The Reading United Methodist Church is preparing a home-cooked Sunday dinner on Jan. 28. The meal will include a roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, dessert, and a drink for $6. the dinner is open to the public.
Landon Dody Fund
A fund has been set up to assist the parents of Landon Dody, who was born by emergency Caesarean section Friday. Landon is the son of Aron and Blythe Dody. Landon had to have portions of his intestine removed Saturday and will remain at Stormont-Vail in Topeka for the next several weeks. A fund has been set up at Emporia State Federal Credit Union to help the parents with traveling expenses. Funds can be sent to or dropped off at the credit union, 310 W. 12th Ave., Emporia, KS 66801.
Beef and noodles
The beef and noodle dinner has been rescheduled and will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Neosho Rapids High School. The sponsor is St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Hartford.
The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
A raffle will be held for prizes, including a half side of beef.
