The Southern Coffey County Titans fought to the bitter end, defeating Altoona-Midway, 73-64, on Tuesday night.
Going into the second half, the Titans were down by one, but with a successful recovery, they went on to claim victory against Altoona-Midway by a nine-point margin.
SCC’s Matt Harmon and Altoona-Midway’s Brian Powers came out on top during Tuesday night’s game, as each ended with 22 points. Following close behind was SCC’s Dane Birk, who scored 18 points.

After dominating the first half, the Southern Coffey County Lady Titans went on to defeat Altoona-Midway.
“The girls played with great intensity on defense,” SCC coach Jeff True said. “They had 38 steals.”
SCC’s Shelby Birk proved herself to be an essential player for the Titans. Birk scored 14 points, all of which came on 2-point shots.
Sticking close behind Birk was SCC’s Hannah Brooks, who scored 12 points.

Jessie Coe’s 19 points led Hamilton as the Lady Tigers rolled to the 13-point victory over Elyria Christian.
Kourtnie and Kylie Olson added 10 points apiece for Hamilton.
Elyria was paced by Cari Tippen, who finished in double figures with 10 points.
