Lyon County commission
Lyon County commissioners will meet for a study session beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse.
Items on the agenda include:
• Discuss sending out request for proposals for complete signs, sign faces and street sign hardware according to specifications set by Chip Woods, county engineer.
• Richard Old, Lyon County under sheriff, will discuss the purchase of a Handscope Xenon HSX-5000 unit using a total of $6,600.
• Jack Taylor, Emporia Fire chief and Blaise Plummer, city attorney, will review request for capitol expenditure for ambulance emergency operations in the amount of $118,881.85 for two thermal imaging cameras; extraction equipment; and three Auto Pulse units.
• Doug Stueve, Department of Aging Services director, will review appointments to Lyon County Council on Aging and will review federal grant application for fiscal year 2008 supporting L-CAT program.
• Karen Hartenbower, Lyon County clerk, will discuss election workers’ pay structure.
• Commissioners will discuss facilities department employment needs.
• Steve Samuelson, Lyon County zoning and flood plain manager, will review an application for agriculture special-use temporary accessory dwelling by Dennis Wiley.
