Stump removal
The Emporia park department is compiling a list of addresses where stumps are located on the parking between the sidewalk and the street and the property owner would like it removed. To place an address on the list, call 342-6558 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Shelter reservations
The Emporia park department makes shelter reservations for Hammond Park, Jones Park, Las Casitas Park and Peter Pan Park and for the arbor and amphitheater at Peter Pan. New for 2007, reservations for the shelter in Soden’s Grove Park will be taken.

AARP meeting
AARP Chapter 285 meets at 11:30 a.m. at the Regency Gardens Restaurant. The program, “Spelling Bee Revised,” will be given by Carolyn Kuhn and Laura Schlobohm. The public is welcome to attend.
