Three more people have filed for Lyon County school board races, and one person has filed for the Americus City Council.
In North Lyon County, Donna Taylor of Reading has filed for Position 1, running against Michael Hanks of Reading. Sarah Meenen of Americus and Greg Larson of Emporia are also running for the board, but are so far unopposed for their seats.
In Southern Lyon County, incumbent Shelly Jenkins of Neosho Rapids has filed for re-election to Position 1, while Kenny Hamman of Hartford has filed for Position 2. Hamman also ran for the board in 2005.
Linda Stringer filed for the Americus City Council. She is the first person to file in the race.
The filing deadline is noon Tuesday.
