Four people were treated for possible injuries around 5:45 Friday morning following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 50 near Road E.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a minivan driven by Juan Lozano III, 27, of Emporia pulled out in front of a passenger car driven by Jessie L. McCormick, 22, of Emporia. McCormick’s vehicle struck Lozano’s vehicle in the rear. Lozano and his passenger, Ofelia Martinez, 27, of Emporia were treated at the scene. McCormick and his passenger Mercedes Gilbert, 23, of Emporia were taken to Newman Regional Health where they were treated and released.
All four people involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts.
