Beef and noodles for church
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hartford will be hosting its annual beef and noodles dinner and raffle from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Neosho Rapids School multi-purpose room in Neosho Rapids. The cost of the meal is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10.
The menu includes beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert. There will be a raffle for prizes, including a half side of beef. Tickets for the Raffle are $1 each and are available at the door.
Chili for the band
The Emporia High School Band Boosters will have their annual chili supper from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday in the commons area at the high school. The price is $5 for chili, a Frito pie or chili dog, dessert and a beverage.
The money raised will be used to support the EHS band.
