Lyon County’s K-State Research and Extension will be host for an Ag Profitability Conference on Monday at the American Legion in Emporia. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the program starting at 9 a.m. and will conclude by 3:30 p.m.
The conference will give area farmers and ranchers an opportunity to talk with with ag economists from Kansas State University and hear their views on a variety of topics of economic interest.
Topics to be covered include: economics of no-till; update from the Kansas Farm Management Association; cattle management profitability projections; land values/buying principles; economics and machinery auto-guidance; and forces shaping change in the U.S. cattle and beef industry.
