These meals will be served next week in Emporia’s public schools:
BREAKFAST
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.
Wednesday: cinnamon bun stick or cereal and muffin.
Thursday: breakfast pizza or cereal and biscuit.
Friday: frosted long john or cereal and biscuit.
LUNCH
Monday: ham and cheese melt on a bun, tater tots, pineapple tidbits, ice cream or yogurt.
Tuesday: chili, crackers, vegetable bites with dip, fresh fruit choice, cinnamon roll.
Wednesday: grilled chicken on a bun, cheese potatoes, green beans, tropical fruit.
Thursday: crispito, mozzarella stick, nacho chips, tossed salad, oranges.
Friday: steak fingers with roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, banana, cookie.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk. Lunch is served with milk.

Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave. Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week:
Monday: sloppy joe, potato salad, zucchini and tomatoes, bun, pineapple-mango paradise.
Tuesday: beef and broccoli, rice, peaches, wheat bread, cookie.
Wednesday: sliced pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, california-blend vegetables, roll, cherry crisp.
Thursday: meatballs, fettucini alfredo, winter-blend vegetables, plums.
Friday: baked chicken, rice pilaf, peas and carrots, roll, strawberries and bananas.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: lasagna, italian-blend vegetables, garlic bread, applesauce, crispy rice bar.
Wednesday: baked fish,noodles romanoff, peas, muffin, strawberries and bananas.
Thursday: hamburger on a bun with lettuce, tomato and onion, potato salad, carrots, lime gelatin with pears.
Friday: roast pork with mashed potatoes and gravy, braised cabbage, carrots, wheat bread, plums.
