The death of an Osage City man who ran his car into a creek Monday night appears to have been a suicide, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department.
Michael Allen Coleman, 29, had struck an embankment near the intersection of Roads 330 and S5, flipping his 1996 Mazda and landing upside-down in a nearby creek. Coleman was not conscious when rescuers pulled him out of the car and was pronounced dead at Newman hospital.
Sheriff Gary Eichorn’s preliminary ruling of a suicide was based on an autopsy held earlier this week.
