165 lbs of marijuana found during speeding stop

Saturday, January 6, 2007

Lyon County sheriff’s officers arrested a Wichita woman Thursday night after finding 165 pounds of marijuana in her car.

Deputy Cory Doudican initially pulled 30-year-old Teresa Ingram of Wichita over for speeding in a work zone just before 10 p.m. But during the stop, which took place at milepost 128 of Interstate Highway 35, Doudican grew suspicious and searched the car, finding the marijuana.

Ingram’s case has been forwarded to the Lyon County Attorney’s office.

Surprised MrMonkeeDo is not in here whining about how unfair this is to assume that just because she had 165 lbs of grass on her, that she was dealing drugs,

She was probably just the mule taking it from one location to the other. Most " Major " dealers will use women to transport their drugs for them. Sometimes they will get a women with children to make it look more inocent.

Something I have noticed with this paper, howcome they never list the charges the suspect is arrested for? I dont understand that. Can someone answer that ? for me?
