A telemarketer threatened a Lyon County man and his family Saturday afternoon when the man asked to speak to the caller’s supervisor.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s incident log, the telemarketer began cursing at the man and threatened him and his family.
The log recorded that the telemarketer said that he had an M16 rifle and would come to the area and rape and kill the man’s family. The telemarketer said that he had “just done three years of lockup.”
The man was told by his telephone company representative that he would need to file a report with law enforcement before the company would determine where the call originated.
