Potatoes for baseball
The American Legion Ninth Annual Legion Baseball Potato Bar — “We’ll bake ’em — you fix ’em” — will be served from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday at Legion Post 5, 2921 W. 12th Ave. The cost in advance for adults is $5 and $3 for children 6-12. The cost at the door is $5.50 and $3.50. There is no charge for children younger than six years. Take-outs will be available. Proceeds support the American Legion Baseball program. Eagle Creek pancakes
The Eagle Creek Saddle Club is sponsoring a pancake supper from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Olpe Chicken House. The menu includes all the pancakes one wishes to eat for $2. Breakfast with the Lutherans
A biscuits and gravy breakfast will be held on Saturday at the Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Also being served with the biscuits and gravy will be pancakes, juice, milk or coffee. Cost for the “all you can eat” breakfast is $4 per person. Children 12 and under are half price. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the mission projects of the Lutheran Laymen’s League.
Chili for the church
The Americus Methodist Church soup supper, featuring homemade chili, vegetable soup and clam chowder, will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church. Donations will go into the church general fund.
